Waiheke Adventure Tour

9am - meet your private guide at our central city store. Changing rooms, toilets and luggage storage are available.

9.15am - safety briefing and gear fitting completed; full e-bike instructions provided. E-bikes are designed to be ridden exactly as a normal bike, with the battery simply providing you wish assistance to get up hills easily. Short ride to downtown ferry terminal.

10am - your private guide will ensure you are safely on board the ferry to Waiheke Island; your guide will take care of bike parking and ensure they are locked securely before they provide you with an orientation of the Hauraki Gulf on route.

10.35am - arrive at Waiheke; disembark the ferry with your e-bike and recieve further instruction before the ride starts in earnest. Cycling route includes several stops at local village, beautiful beaches and seaside communities. After a steep hill climb, we will arrive at Ecozip (the e-bikes make the hill climb nice and easy!).

12.15pm OR 1.15pm (time dependent on Ecozip seasonal schedule and availability) - Ecozip tour begins; includes 3 ziplines and a lovely forest walk. Your private guide will ensure the bikes and gear is kept secure.

2pm - 3pm - picnic lunch served in local park with spectacular views across the major islands of the Hauraki Gulf.

4.15pm (time may vary depending on ferry operator seasonal timetable) - return ferry journey to Auckland city. 

5pm - arrive back at our inner city store; farewells.

This tour is designed for the more adventurous traveller and while the e-bikes make the many hills of Waiheke a breeze, participants do need a good level of fitness and confidence to maximise enjoyment. A mix of on-road and off-road riding is included in the cycling route. Not suited to children or those with serious health conditions or mobility issues.
