You will be meet your guide at subway MRT Hua Lam Phong station, exit number 1 on street side. Then local guide will you lead to visit lively Chinatown Bangkok by TUKTUK. Set off on foot to explore this historic area’s shops, temples and markets. Start walk along the Song Wad Street where loaded of whole sell products/goods, then go through ‘Sampeng market’, the first wholesale market in Bangkok.
(If the time permitted, continuing to visit the Tang Toh Kang gold shop and museum, to learn the knowhow of gold-smith in Chinatown.)
Continue walk cross Yao Wa Rat Street where it seem like jewelry trade center. You will see endless row of gold, jewelry and accessory stores. Then we will walk through small alley as the Chinese herbs market. And why not? you may can try some authentic herbal drink.
Then across the first street of Bangkok, Charoen Krung Street to visit to Wat Mangkon Kamalawat, the most important Chinese buddhist temple in Bangkok. There are load of story of beliefs and faithfulness for both of Thai-Chinese people. Then we walk down a narrow alley off Bangkok’s oldest street to discover how the vibe Chinese community. People ofCharoen Chai Community have handcrafted traditional Chinese joss paper products for over a century. These include the shiny gold and red envelopes used for gift-giving during Chinese lunar new year, yellow flags and food trays that mark the annual vegetarian festival, and the elaborate paper offerings that grace traditional Chinese funerals.
Return to subway MRT Hua Lam Phong station by TUKTUK.
