Acerca de esta actividad

You will be required to meet your guide for a start time of 9:00am at Tung Chung MTR Station on the north side of Lantau Island. After a quick equipment check your hike will start with your guide leading you out through Tung Chung onto the coastal path. It's easy flat hike on the north side of Lantau Island which will combine a mixture of old and new, ancient and modern.

The first sight which you will see is Hong Kong International Airport which is built on the island of Chek Lap Kok which sits in the Pearl River Estuary and South China Sea. From there you can enjoy the coastal path with low range mountains to your left and sea and beach views to your right. The second and very obvious sight will be the Hong Kong – Zhuhai – Macau Bridge, very controversial with local Hong Kongers but an engineering marvel the project includes just under 30km of bridge and 6.7 km of tunnel.

On leaving this behind you will find the hike becoming more remote, taking in some small old villages until we arrive at the final destination and highlight of the tour the Fisherman’s Stilt Village. We factor in an hour here so you can explore the village, maybe sample some of the food on offer and enjoy the sights. Bring your camera as this is photographer’s paradise.

You will leave at 2:00pm on a small local ferry, there is a chance you may witness the fabled pink dolphins during this ferry crossing which inhabit the waters off the north coast of Lantau. You will head back to Tung Chung with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes, where your guide will lead you back to the MTR from where you started for a finish time of around 2:45pm
