Meet your guide and driver at your centrally located hotel, and start your tour by hopping in your private transfer for the day — an American Army Jeep. Drive south of Siem Reap for about 6 miles (10 km) to a lotus farm, where you can take in the natural beauty of the Cambodian countryside and sample locally grown fruit.

Then continue on to Mechrey village, which is part of a community-based tourism initiative, providing the chance for you to meet the enterprising locals who live here. Chat with village families and take an oxcart ride along dirt paths, through rice paddies, and past farmland.

Your tour ends backs in town at one of Siem Reap’s many restaurants, where you'll enjoy a lunch of traditional Khmer food before being returned to your hotel.
