Private Tour: Peneda Gerês National Park from Porto

The National park of Peneda-Gerês extends from the plateau of Castro Laboreiro to the plateau of Mourela, covering the mountain ranges of Peneda, Soajo, Amarela and Gerês. Discover this vast amphitheatre sculptured by geological formations, winds and water.

Take a hike on the mountain and see the effects of the last glaciation, meet the locals in the traditional village and indulge in the local cuisine.

The National park of Peneda-Gerês was established by decree in 1971 with the aim of enhancing, for educational, scientific and tourist purposes, human activities and the natural resources of this privileged landscape set in the mountainous areas in northeast Portugal. The soil, water, flora and fauna have all been preserved.

To start the day, we take you from Porto to Gerês park by car. Then, we visit the Church of "São bento da Porta Aberta", and the village of Gerês where we will have luch in a local restaurante and free time. After that, you will enjoy the amazing views with a complete experience of 4x4 (optional). You will be able to discover the peneda Gerês park deeper in a jip ride if you choose this option for 30 euros per hour for 4 people. During this ride, you will see the stunning Tahiti waterfall and other lagoons.t if you decide to continue with the normal tour, we will visit by car: Portela do homen, Arado and Tahiti waterfalls, Pedra bela view point and Misarela Bridge.
