Meeting time is 7:20 and you will enter the Vatican museums one hour before the general opening to the public. Once inside, you will go along the Vatican Galleries straight to the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo’s real masterpiece. Vatican Grottoes were part of the former St. Peter Basilica, built during Emperor Constantine the Great Era. Visiting this underground level, which is right below the central nave of the Basilica, you will find also Pope John Paul II Tomb as well as many others Popes Tombs located along the gallery.

- It can happen that the Basilica of St. Peters’ is not visible due to special Religious functions held by the Cardinals or the Pope, the closing of St. Peter’s can be an unexpected decision take by the Vatican Museums; in this case we will add in the itinerary the Painting gallery or the Raphael Rooms, once the Pope Julius’ II apartment, as an alternative site.
