The Teide National Park was declared a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2007 with the category of Natural Well.
It is also a European Diploma by the Council of Europe and is part of the Natura network 2000. It is the most complete sample of vegetation of supra-Mediterranean floor that exists and constitutes one of the most spectacular manifestations of volcanism in the whole world. The National Park el Teide is located in the centre of the island and it represents the highest peak in Spain, with 3,718 meters.

Probably one of the best routes of the island of Tenerife where we ascend to the highest peak in Spain and the third highest volcano in the world. The 8.3 km excursion begins at the foot of the volcano where you will receive a small introduction to the national park and its main features.
During the tour we will know the different types of lava formations that gave rise to the creation of the space, as well as walking through some of them to know their peculiarities. The ascent path is abrupt and can be difficult due to the great pressure change that occurs in a few hours, so it will be held at an appropriate pace for all its participants. Reaching the top supposes a self-satisfaction that you will keep as a good memory, not only for what has been achieved with the physical effort, but also for the landscape that you will see at your feet.
At the top you can enjoy a picnic lunch and then make the descent by cable car.
This free cable car permission needs to be booked in advance since it gets fully booked too fast. However, if we don't get the permissions we still can enjoy the tour without hoping on the cable car (this suppose about 1km hiking instead of going back by cable car).
Our local guides will try to transmit the participants the knowledge of their past generations, making a real experience of the culture and customs of our land. We also bet on the local economy and local products, so the picnic lunch that will be offered will consist of purely canarian products.
