New Year's Eve Gala in Vienna City Hall's Grand Ballroom

A highlight of the beginning of the Gala is the official ball opening ceremony carried out by the lovely young debutants. Later on, the well-known Austrian ballet dancers and vocalists will perform the most famous Viennese operettas. 

At Midnight, step out to the Grand balcony of the ballroom and enjoy with a glass of sparkling wine the spectacular fireworks over the rooftops of historical Vienna. 

The New Year will than be welcomed by traditional Blue Danube waltz and you can start your New Year by dancing on the dance floor of the ballroom. Our live band "Midnight spirits" will provide lively tune to keep you dancing until the early morning hours.

You can choose between 4 different categories with the respective seating: 

Category VIP - table rows 1-3

Category A - table rows 4-6

Category B - table rows 7-10

Category C - North wing, not in the ballroom (beverages only, without dinner)

09:45 pm Admission for guests without dinner (categories C) 

10:15 pm Ball opening by the dancing school

11:15 pm Show acts: highlights of Viennese operettas (arias, duets and 3 ballet pairs)
